A Boerne weekend does not need much planning to feel indulgent, but a little rhythm helps. Here is how we would plan a three-day stay if we were visiting our own town for the first time.
Friday: Arrive slowly
Get to Boerne by late afternoon. Check in, drop your bags, and take a slow walk down the Hill Country Mile before dinner. Have a drink at one of the porches on Main Street, then head to dinner at The Kendall Restaurant or one of the town’s beloved family-run spots. End the night on the front porch with a glass of wine and the sound of Cibolo Creek in the background.
Saturday: The full day
Start with coffee in the courtyard, then a morning walk on the Cibolo Trail. Head into town late morning for shopping and galleries. Grab lunch on Main Street, then plan an afternoon adventure: a Hill Country winery, Cave Without a Name, or a lazy hour at Boerne Lake. Come back for a shower and a slower start to the evening. Dinner at The Kendall Restaurant is our favorite way to end a full day, followed by another porch nightcap.
Sunday: A long, unhurried finish
No alarm clock. Wake up naturally. Take a farewell walk on the Cibolo Trail, then a slow brunch downtown. Save time for one more stroll through the shops you liked most before you point the car home. The best weekends leave you already planning the next one.
Where to stay
Make The Kendall your home base. You will be steps from the Hill Country Mile and the Cibolo Trail, with the Restaurant on site for the nights you would rather not go far. Book direct for our best rate.
